A Mighty Oak Has Fallen!
On December 29th, President Jimmy Carter, at the age of 100, quietly slipped away from us to be with his Lord and his wife, Rosalynn. Since his passing, many professional and personal accomplishments have been in our public arena.
The 39th President of the United States of America was a brilliant United States Navy Nuclear Submarine commander, state Senator, Governor, Civil Rights Activist, and recipient of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize. He brought about a lasting peace accord between Egypt and Israel, and many more are being declared on the airwaves. He was also a Lay Baptist Theologian and Sunday School teacher. In the picture, President Carter is teaching Sunday School at his church in Plains, Georgia, in 2010.
Above all his activities and accomplishments, he was a deeply abiding disciple of Jesus Christ. All his life was guided by the Light from his Lord Jesus Christ. He worked tirelessly into his 90s to build homes through Habitat For Humanity and observed Human Rights and Election integrity across our Planet. he lived an unselfish life and preserved our nation to thrive under the cloak of Democracy. As a Baptist, I am very proud to celebrate President Carter's life, and I thank God for gifting his soul to our nation and to the Church of Jesus Christ.
