Here is a recent update from Daniel:
Three of our Enduring Love missionaries are engaged in Business as Mission projects. Our desire is for them to establish themselves as independent, self-supporting, servants of God. We were excited last summer when one of them reached that goal!
One of the leaders we support was a Sunni Sheik from Egypt. He was led to faith in Christ and became a disciple of Jesus Christ. He eventually came to study at the Arab Baptist Theological seminary, Beirut. I had the pleasure of having him in a few of my classes. After graduating from ABTS, he returned to Egypt and began a house Church. He encountered all kinds of problems, even threats on his life. His wife and two daughters were also persecuted.
We thought the best way for him to continue his ministry in Egypt was to set him up with a micro business enterprise! The Arab world respects Businessmen! Before he came to our seminary, he was engaged in setting up satellite dishes, TV and electronic repair work. So, EL provided him a grant to set him up with a small Business as Mission Project. Last June, after eight years of receiving support from EL, he finally 'graduated' and became a self-supporting servant of God!
Praise be to our God!
