he transition of the ABOG fellowship accreditation process to the ACGME is well underway. The first subspecialty to transition will be Gynecologic Oncology. Programs in good standing with ABOG will not require an initial site visit if their ACGME-accredited residency program also has a status of "Continued Accreditation." It is expected that applications for the programs in Maternal-fetal Medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility will be available on the ACGME in the near future. ABOG selects new Executive Director:
Dr. George Wendel Jr. will replace Dr. Larry Gilstrap as ABOG executive director in 2017.
