Dave Comey

Dave started his insurance career in 1985, after graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Marketing Management. (GO HOKIES!)

36+ years and three agencies later, Dave is the President and Owner of Southeastern lnsurance Services in Chesapeake, VA.

Dave was installed on the Board of PIAVADC last year. He is the current Chairperson of PIAVADC Legislative Committee.

Blast Topic: Dave will discuss how the PIAVADC Legislative Committee operates and in what form PIA takes action on laws effecting agents.

Gerald Hemphill

An insurance agent in the Metro-Richmond area since 1993, Gerald represents all lines of insurance, specializing in commercial insurance risks. He was an agent for a large domestic carrier for five years and has been principal of his own agency ever since.

He was President of PIAVADC in 2010 and named PIAVADC Agent of the Year in 2012. He is the President-Elect for National PIA, having served on the National Board since 2013 and will be National President of PIA on October 1, 2022.

Blast Topic: Gerald will share his experiences volunteering as PIAVADC National Director, his involvement on a National level, and his rise to 2023 National President.

Jason Kilgo

Jason has spent sixteen years in the insurance industry, owning KilGO Insurance since 2016.

Jason is the Chair of PIAVADC's Young Professional Councel and also serves on the Convention committee.  He was PIAVADC's Agent of the Year in 2021 and was recently recognized as PIA National 2022 Agent of the Year.

Blast Topic: Jason will discuss how he has promoted his agency within the real estate industry and how he uses his network and social media to obtain leads.

Shannon Springer

Shannon is the Vice President and CFO of Springer Insurance. She has been with the company since 2018 but in the financial industry, specifically as a mortgage banking executive, for the last 20+ years.

Shannon is a PIAVADC Board member and active in the Philanthropy Committee, supporting Special Olympics of Virginia.
