Resident News to Use
August 2019
A Note from the Editor - Dr. Nicole DeLauro

Greetings residents! I hope that you are adjusting to your new residency positions as August draws to a close. ABPM is excited to recognize the name change of it associated education arm, ACFAOM (American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine) to ACPM, the (American College of Podiatric Medicine). The change took place in July at the APMA National Scientific Meeting in Salt Lake City through a vote of its membership. Keep a look out for exciting changes to their educational programs.

Congratulations to the winners of the Residency Rumble this month in Teaneck, NJ. It was a tough competition- excellent job to all the competitors! It was a pleasure to meet you during the ABPM reception that followed.  I am proud to share ABPM's co-sponsorship with ACPM and APMSA for this year's TUSPM Freshman Orientation mixer. It was a great experience to interact with the youngest professionals in our field, and we hope to visit more colleges this year.

As always, we strive to bring you an updated ABPM App experience. Look for some changes in the next few months. If you have suggestions or ideas to improve the App, please feel free to send me an email.  In this issue be sure to check out our director spotlight on ABPM's newest Board member, Dr. Bryan Roth. We are excited to have him as one of our leaders.

Lastly, ABPM is always wishing to enhance your residency experience and would love to come and lecture to your program. Encourage your directors to request a speaker from our Speaker's Bureau or feel free to reach out with any workshop ideas. We hope to see you soon!
