Message from the President
Hello ABRFer’s,

I hope everyone had a great Summer! Now that classes are back in session and the kids are back in school, you may be asking yourself: “How can I reengage with my colleagues”? You may want to consider attending the monthly Peer Mentoring event. These events are virtual informal meetings that facilitate interactive discussions between members on the challenges they may be facing with their operations.  Topics have included professional development options, authorship/acknowledgment on publications, tracking publication from your facility, and training. Discussions are not limited to these topics and attendees are encouraged to suggest others. Small break out rooms are formed to take a deep-dive into a particular topic and then the attendees reconvene to share what they learned/discussed in their break out room. This event is great way to reconnect with, and meet new, ABRF members.

Perhaps you are done with virtual events and want to interact face-to-face? There are three outstanding chapter meetings (WACD, NERLSCD, MWACD) that will be held this Fall. A complete listing of events that are currently scheduled can be viewed in the ABRF calendar.

Welcome back and I look forward to catching up with everyone at one of our Fall Events!

Kevin Knudtson
ABRF President

If there’s a new topic you’d like to have added, let us know. Leverage the power of the global ABRF network.
