Message from the President
Hello ABRFer’s

Alas, this is my final post as President to the ABRF Update monthly newsletter as I will be stepping down after the 2023 ABRF Meeting in Boston next week. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to all ABRF members for your support as I have been inspired by your resilience, dedication and friendship.  These memories will forever be dear to me.

I also want to express my personal gratitude to our Executive Director, Ken Schoppmann, for everything he has done to support me and the ABRF. Ken is a gifted executive director. His insights on society management have been especially helpful to me and his talents have been instrumental in guiding, growing and putting the ABRF in a good place for the future. Additionally, I thank our management service, AMR, for all the work their team has done to support the changing needs of the ABRF as we continue to grow.

Marie Adams will be President following the annual meeting. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position as she has been a leader and champion in promoting our society’s initiatives that aim to strengthen our research groups, career development, education, code of conduct, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The future of the ABRF is bright with Marie at the helm.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Boston!

ABRF 2022 Annual Report – At the Core of Research Excellence and Sustainability
ABRF is pleased to present the 2022 Annual Report, which summarizes the progress over the past year, as members continued to adapt to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, while resuming attending in-person events. The report provides more details on the significant growth in membership, new research group studies, and the ongoing success of ABRF regional chapters to engage a wider range of core professionals. Take a moment to review the accomplishment made possible by the work of more than 400 ABRF member volunteers.
