2025-2026 School Calendar

Winter Break is Here!

We have made it to the end of 2025! We hope all our families and staff enjoy some well earned time away from the classroom. The PTSO was happy to provide lunch from Oscar's Burritos for our High School staff last week. They appreciated the support from our community and we heard there were barely even crumbs left over! Thank you to all who donated to make this Appreciation Lunch possible.

As always, the PTSO can use your support. Please keep an eye on this Newsletter to learn how you can help or reach out to hshospitality@abrptso.org. And remember, Project Graduation is having it's first planning meeting in January! You can also donate using the links below.

See you all in 2026!

AB Forward Updates

To stay informed and follow the progress, please visit the School Committee meeting page and AB Forward page. The next event is the School Committee meeting and listening session on January 8, 2026 and a final vote on January 22, 2026.

Project Graduation:

Ready for a break? We thought so! Enjoy the winter school vacation. We're looking forward to digging into 2026 with our first planning meeting of the year on Monday, January 12, 7–8pm. This will be a hybrid in-person / Zoom sesh, so you've got options! Let us know if you want to join us and help plan the (all-night, all-inclusive, substance-free) party of the year!

Ready to make some noise? We hope so! We're looking for a communications and marketing volunteer. You can help us spread the word about Project Graduation with event outreach, local papers, and town groups. Drop us a line! We need help from parents of students in all grades to make PG'26 happen!

Warmest holiday wishes,

The AB Project Graduation 2026 Team

Food Awareness Club

The Food Awareness Club collected 82 pounds of food donations for the Acton Food Pantry. They are grateful to all who donated.

Send a Photo of Your Student Volunteer

One of the highlights of the annual Community Service Awards Night is a slideshow of our AB student volunteers. If you would like to include your student, please email a photo of your student volunteering. Please include your student’s name their volunteer organization or activity, to Ms. Nestlerode (anestlerode@abschools.org)

High School Cooking Club!

This club is for students in the High School with all levels of cooking experience. We will meet on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 PM after school in the Cafeteria Kitchen. Attendance at all 4 sessions is required. Proper dress in the kitchen: students are required to wear sneakers and a hat to keep their hair back. If the student has an apron they would like to bring with them that would be great. If not, we will provide an apron.

Meeting Dates: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, and 1/27

Each club is limited to 12 students in order to provide a full hands-on experience. If we exceed 12 students on the sign up list, a lottery will take place for students accepted into the cooking club. Sign up HERE for the cooking club. Contact Kirsten Nelson (knelson@abschools.org)Director of Food and Nutrition Services, with any questions.  There are no fees.

Senior T-Shirts:

Every student gets a Senior T-shirt as part of their Senior Dues. If your Senior has not yet picked up their Senior T-shirt, they should see Ms. Holden-Webber in the Counseling Center between classes.

Senior Dues are now $225 (this amount include $25 late fee)

Food and Personal Care Items Available at AB

Students in need of food or personal care items can access these items through the Food Pantry Outpost in the Counseling Center at no charge. Students can “shop” in the outpost in the Counseling Center (see Ms. Holden-Webber) or submit this order form online and pick up bagged items in Counseling. Of course, all information and participation will be held in strict confidence. For more information on the Food Pantry Outpost, please contact Lindsay Rosenman (lrosenman@abschools.org) in the Counseling Department. The Acton Food Pantry (including the Acton Community Supper) has been providing food assistance to residents of Acton and surrounding towns since 1984 and partnered with the high school in 2020 to provide in-school access to food pantry items.
