Winter Staff Appreciation Luncheon - Donations Needed!

It may feel like the new school year has just begun, but believe it or not, we're almost halfway through! As always, our dedicated teachers and staff have hit the ground running, providing the energy, support, and care our kids need to thrive. The work they do is invaluable, and as a token of our appreciation, the PTSO is planning our Annual Mid-Year Special Staff Appreciation Luncheon as a gesture of thanks for their dedication as we close out 2025.

We’re inviting parents who would like to contribute to make a donation to fund the event. Your support makes this possible. If you’d like to contribute, please submit your donations by December 22, 2025.

Donations can be made through the following links:

Venmo: @ABRPTSO (Please mention" ABRHS" for High school in the Venmo payment description)

HS Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=AXZN29RV2QX2Y

If you have any questions, please contact us at secretary@abrptso.org

Thank you so much for your continued support! Let's show the teachers and staff how much they mean to us and our students!

Project Graduation: Who Doesn't Love a Tax Deduction

As the calendar year winds down, it is a good time to make a donation to Project Graduation to help us host the biggest, best, substance-free graduation party! Here are two easy ways to do it:

Thank you for your consideration! We live in interesting times indeed, but our commitment to the kids will never waiver.

Warmly,

Human Rights Council Cultural Color Day - Tuesday, December 9th

In honor of International Human Rights Week, the Human Rights Council is inviting students and staff to join in highlighting the great diversity of our community. On Tuesday, December 9th, all are encouraged to wear the colors of their cultural heritage, country flag, traditional clothing, or other colors of their identity. Members of the Human Rights Council are offering students the opportunity to make bracelets of their “cultural colors” during all lunches on Monday and Tuesday.

Proscenium Circus presents Chicago: Teen Edition December 11-13!

Join the students of Proscenium Circus in the ABRHS auditorium for our winter musical,

Chicago: Teen Edition!

This American favorite promises a night of murder, mayhem, and plenty of sequins. Set in Jazz-Age Chicago, Chicago follows the story of two merry murderesses- who would rather be center stage!

Tickets can be purchased now at www.abdrama.org.

Chicago: Teen Edition is recommended for audiences ages 13 and up.

Send a Photo of Your Student Volunteer

One of the highlights of the annual Community Service Awards Night is a slideshow of our AB student volunteers. The ABRHS Food Awareness Club Food Club is hosting a food drive from December 8 through December 15th. Please drop off your donation in the Front Lobby.

High School Cooking Club!

This club is for students in the High School with all levels of cooking experience. We will meet on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 PM after school in the Cafeteria Kitchen. Attendance at all 4 sessions is required. Proper dress in the kitchen: students are required to wear sneakers and a hat to keep their hair back. If the student has an apron they would like to bring with them that would be great. If not, we will provide an apron.

Meeting Dates: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, and 1/27

Each club is limited to 12 students in order to provide a full hands-on experience. If we exceed 12 students on the sign up list, a lottery will take place for students accepted into the cooking club. Sign up HERE for the cooking club. Contact Kirsten Nelson (knelson@abschools.org)Director of Food and Nutrition Services, with any questions.  There are no fees.
