The ABWM Ambassador Program has launched!
|

ABWM has selected 10 individuals to help promote the mission of ABWM; helping us further our brand awareness and to educate the community of wound care professionals on a grassroots level. After our search began this past spring, we made our selections for this year, they were trained and are now ready to go!
Our 2018-2019 cohort includes: Melissa Black, PT, DPT, CWS; Dolores Farrer, DPM, MBA, CWS; Robert Klein, DPM, CWS; Lori Lane, DPM, CWSP; Christine Miller, DPM, DMM, PhD, CWS; Natasha Johnson, MSN, RN-BC, CVN, CWCA; Kathy Kaufman, LPN, CHT, CWCA; Brian Pekarek, DPM, CWS; Heather Schuster, MPAS, PA-C, CWS; and Dolores Temple, PT, CWS, CLT. This group is led by the Ambassador Program Task Force: Co-Chair Karen Albaugh, PT, DPT, MPH, CWS; Co-Chair Dawn Franceschina, PT, DPT, CWS; and Vickie Lindsey, ABWM staff.
ABWM Ambassadors are tasked with taking the American Board of Wound Management with them to educational presentations, departmental in-service meetings, peer-to-peer conversations, and/or local wound care events and fairs. Ambassadors are armed with a toolkit of ABWM print material, giveaways, and frequently asked questions.
Since this is our pilot year, we will assess this new program in 2019, take in feedback, and go from there. If you have any questions about the ABWM Ambassador Program or might be interested for 2019, please email

- ABWM will be at the SAWC Fall in Las Vegas, NV, Friday, November 2 - Sunday, November 4 at booth #115 for some great giveaways and meet our Board of Directors!
- The Exam Committee will reconvene March 20-22, 2019 and June 17 - 19, 2019. If you are interested in applying to serve on our exam committee, please email vlindsey@abwmcertified.org.
