WHO IS NEWLY CERTIFIED?

Congratulations to those who were recently certified! The ABWM would like to recognize all newly certified Associates and Diplomates who received their CWCA®, CWS ®, or CWSP ®  credentials from April 15th through June 30th, 2019. See a list of those recently certified.

Diplomate Spotlight: LCDR William Church, PT, CWS

Meet Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) William Church, a Physical Therapist who is wound care certified through the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM). LCDR Church holds an appointment in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, one of the seven uniformed active duty services for the United States. He is one of 6,700 officers that make up the United States Public Health Service. LCDR Church is also one of approximately twenty certified wound care specialists assigned to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) across the country.  LCDR Church provides safe, humane, and cost-efficient medical care, in keeping with the Federal BOP’s mission, specializing in the area of advanced wound care management. LCDR Church became certified in wound care by the ABWM in 2017, and has since expanded his clinical privileges and role in advanced wound care management within his institution.  Read more about LCDR Church and the amazing work he does here:

WOUND HEALING AWARENESS MONTH (WHAM!) THANK YOU! The ABWM and ABWM Foundation would like to thank everyone who participated in Wound Healing Awareness Month (WHAM!) this June. We hope this month helped to increase awareness of chronic wounds and the millions of people affected by them each year. We'll be back with more WHAM content in June 2020 - but in the meantime we know that our Associates and Diplomates will continue to advocate for wound healing awareness all year round!

The American Board of Wound Management is the original multidisciplinary certification in wound care and is accredited by the  National Commission for Certifying Agencies  (NCCA).
