ABWM: The Standard of Excellence in Wound Care Certification

The American Board of Wound Management would like to reaffirm its commitment to upholding the highest possible standards in wound care certification. ABWM is the only multidisciplinary wound care certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) , and while others have sought to position their organizations and certifications as preeminent, none have duplicated the standard of excellence offered by ABWM. Who Is Newly Certified?

Congratulations to those who were recently certified! The ABWM would like to recognize all newly certified Associates and Diplomates who received their CWCA®, CWS ®, or CWSP ®  credentials from February 15th through April 15, 2019. See a list of those recently certified.

ABWM at SAWC Spring 2019

ABWM is going to SAWC Spring! The ABWM team - including the President of our Board of Directors, Gayle Lindsey - will be in the exhibit hall to chat with attendees and answer any questions about our CWCA ® , CWS ® and CWSP ® certifications. Join us at booth #243 for some great giveaways and maybe even a round of cornhole (opening night only!) Exhibit Hours: Wednesday May 8th: 5.30 PM - 8 PM Thursday May 9th: 11.45 AM - 2:15 PM Friday May 10th: 11.45 AM - 2:15 PM On Thursday May 9th, we will also be hosting an exclusive Happy Hour for our Associates and Diplomates. ABWM Calendar of Events ABWM will be at the American Diabetes Association 79th Annual Scientific Sessions in San Francisco, CA from June 7 - 11, 2019 ABWM will be at SAWC Fall in Las Vegas, NV from October 12-14, 2019

June is Wound Healing Awareness Month (WHAM!) It's almost that time of year again - June is Wound Healing Awareness Month (WHAM!). This month is meant to recognize the challenges experienced by individuals whose lives are affected daily by chronic wounds and to bring awareness to the general public of the support given by certified wound specialists. In addition to Wound Healing Awareness Month, the ABWM Foundation has designated June 17 – June 21, 2019 as Certified Wound Care Specialists Week. This week celebrates all practitioners certified by the American Board of Wound Management which includes Certified Wound Care Associates®, Certified Wound Specialists®, and Certified Wound Specialist Physicians®.  You can find more information on the WHAM! website here  and purchase promotion items such as posters, pens, t-shirts and buttons here .  Please help up spread the word!
