An Update on "Cutting Red Tape"
All collected submissions, surveys, and stories were gathered and provided to the Ministry of Red Tape Reduction. The information was then reviewed by Red Tape Reduction as actionable or not. Then Red Tape Reduction sent the actionable submissions to the appropriate Ministry for analysis. The Ministry then actions appropriately. This is an ongoing process.
The Small Business Panel that has been established to discuss concerns and items affecting their industry. This panel includes representatives from small businesses, associations assisting with small business growth and successful Alberta-founded companies that began as small business (see below link).
Industry panels will meet biannually and report directly to the Associate Minister of Red Tape Reduction.
In addition to the industry panels, the government is continuing to seek direct feedback from every Albertan through their website
CutRedTape.alberta.ca
and will continue to engage with small groups and industry leaders outside of the panels.
