Airdrie Public Library (APL) strives to be an inclusive landmark destination that engages the mind, strengthens community and enhances quality of life. APL fosters literacy, knowledge and cultural connections. We seek to inspire lifelong learning, imagination and creativity through our inclusive programs, services and collections.
In 2018, Airdrie Public Library had
23,535
members and over
205,867 visitors
. That is more than
600 individuals
coming to our library daily!
APL is an accessible, inclusive and low-cost option for recreation and lifelong learning. It is a gathering place, a venue to meet friends and a welcoming place for newcomers to learn about the community. Residents look to the library to help support their well-being and meet their social needs. The library offers not only literary and cultural opportunities, but also hosts a multitude of other programs, exhibits and special events, both at the library and out in the community – all of which contribute to Airdrie’s sense of identity and quality of life.
You can partner with APL by sponsoring a program or contributing to our annual fundraising events and campaigns. Your donations can support the purchase of new technology or help build the collections. Some of our supporters host their own event or in-store campaign with proceeds going to the Library.
