ROCK FROM THE HEART

www.rockfromtheheart.org

Some of you may know Amy Johnson as she has been a Chamber board member and works for a communications company called Maratona. She now, is putting her passion into Rock from the Heart, a non-profit using music to create awareness for aortic heart disease.

Rock from the Heart's mission is to proactively educate people about aortic and heart valve disease, bridge the gap between impacted families and the support they need, connect those diagnosed with vital resources, and inspire all through the healing power of music.

Aortic diseases, including aortic valve disease, aortic aneurysms and dissections, are silent killers. They often strike without warning, and early diagnosis is critical. Patients need support, education, and resources to navigate this complex healthcare landscape and receive life-saving treatment. Rock from the Heart offers support and resources to people and families helping them make informed decisions. Amy has been personally impacted by this, as her husband had a surprise event, and was diagnosed with aortic disease.

Rock from the Heart uses the power of music to uplift the spirits of people and families affected by aortic disease, and provide an opportunity to connect with survivors at each benefit concert. Thank you Amy for sharing this information and for creating some healing power through music!

WHEN IT'S OK TO BE CLINGY

As you are out and about do you make a purpose to do business with only other Chamber members? Do you recognize and thank the businesses that are fellow members? When you walk in the door of a business- take note - do they have a Chamber member window cling?

Do you know how long Applebee's has been in our community? It has been a staple local restaurant since August of 2000 and they're open 11 a.m. to midnight 7 days a week! It was and still is, a place to gather after sporting events, for families to celebrate birthdays, for couples to enjoy a night out or for happy hours for businesses. Great food, great service and we are greatly blessed to have them be a part of our community for going on 25 years!!
