These bulletin announcements are meant to be a helpful resource, especially for those of you who put your congregations' bulletins together on a weekly basis. If there are ways we could present this information more effectively please don't hesitate to pass on your ideas or give feedback.

Some churches forward the following information and community life announcements to their members using email while others post various events in their weekly bulletin, on their church website, or Facebook page.

Accompanying persons with mental illness and addictions
A continuing education opportunity to build the capacity of churches to respond to mental illnesses and addictions. This three-pronged program for church leaders (pastors, parish nurses, social workers or other lay persons) will strengthen churches and communities in their support of people in their congregation who have mental illnesses and addictions.

"Repairing Relationships" with Joel Jakubowski
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program. Celebrate Recovery Birdsboro was founded and is supported by three local churches, including Zion Mennonite Church.

Joel Jakubowski, an addictions specialist, will speak at Celebrate Recovery Birdsboro on the topic of "Restoring Relationships." Joel will speak at CR Birdsboro on Friday, January 31, during Large Group, which is from 7-8 pm. This is followed by Open Share groups from 8-9 pm and Crosstalk Cafe, our snack and fellowship time, from 9-9:30 pm. CR Birdsboro meets at the First Church of the Nazarene, Birdsboro, 715 E. 3rd St, Birdsboro, PA 19508.

2020 Alumni Reunions at the Welcoming Place

Landis Communities Announcements
An art reception will be held at Landis Homes on February 3 featuring the work of Linda Ellen Ackley Gaston who is a retired art educator and watercolorist. Linda earned a B.S in Art Education from Penn State University and took additional art classes at Purdue University. Linda and her husband Charles are residents at Landis Homes.

The opening reception will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, in the Crossings Gallery in the Calvin G. & Janet C. High Learning & Wellness Center at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. Pianist Janet Eberly will provide live music. The exhibit will continue to be on display through March 2020. 450 North Prince Street groundbreaking event
February 9 | 3–5 p.m. drop-in, 3:30 p.m ceremony | 450 N Prince St, Lancaster, PA
Join us as we celebrate the beginning of the renovation for EMM's offices and hospitality center at 450 North Prince Street. Enjoy some light refreshments, learn more about the vision, and explore the building. MC USA Announcements
There’s still time to sign up to join the Mennonite Mission Network Alumni & Friends Service-Learning Tour. From March 7-14, we will serve alongside our Service Adventure partners in Jackson, and our SOOP partners in Meridian and Mashulaville, MS. We will also be taking in Civil Rights experiences by hearing from an activist and going to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, as well as other sites.
