ACC calls for immediate deferral of commercial evictions

"Albertans haven't had to worry about losing their homes during this unprecedented economic period, thanks to government stepping in and halting residential evictions," says ACC President and CEO Ken Kobly . "Local businesses shouldn't have to worry about losing their homes either. Small businesses are a vital part of our communities and we would be much poorer without them."

"It's all fine and good to give deferrals, but at some point in time, those deferrals have to be paid," said [ACC President and CEO Ken Kobly]. "Couple that with the anxiety about when they will actually be able to open up – are customers going to feel comfortable enough to come? Or are they going to still be panicked by COVID-19?" 

ICC Launches SOS (Save Our SMEs) Website

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has launched a new website for the SOS (Save Our SMEs) campaign. The website features key advocacy materials and is designed to help entrepreneurs find the insights and information they need to navigate through COVID-19.

Technology to support COVID-19 response

As part of its relaunch strategy, the Government of Alberta has launched a voluntary, secure mobile contact tracing application to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In an effort to keep these bulletins focused on new daily developments, we have moved key COVID-19 resources to our website . This list is updated daily as new information becomes available.
