It was the best of times. It was a banner year.

I’ve spilled a lot of ink on our award-winning professional development, diversity, and leadership programs, CLEs, and social events. But none of these would have happened without the amazing ACC Board and the Committees they led.

If you’re reading this, you’ve seen our monthly newsletter, crafted by Aaron Mutnick and our Communications Committee.

Bob Craddick guided his good team to plan our sellout Golf-Spa CLE, split in two this year by a heat wave.

Vikas Sunkari led our Diversity Committee, including the sought-after Diversity Internship Program; and Lisa Savoy headed the Social Justice Committee’s SLAM program that won global accolades.

If you joined one of our veterans’ estate planning clinics, you have Pat Duft and the Pro Bono Committee to thank. Pat and her team joined Pam Howlett’s Law School Relations Committee on a cultural competency and pro bono ethics program at St. Louis University Law School.

(Above: The ACC St. Louis Bridges Group coordinated a docent led tour of "The Culture: Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century" at the St. Louis Art Museum on Dec. 14, 2023.

Members in attendance, like Lisa Savoy, were treated to the in depth knowledge of the docent. "I'd say that the exhibit provides a broad stroke of hip-hop culture around the globe, that spans a variety of creative expression with a particular look into the St. Louis hip-hop scene. A myriad of art is represented in this collaborative, including not just the expected lyrical/poetic representation, or the traditional paintings and prints, but also sculptures and fashion and the meanings associated with these accoutrements," said Savoy. "We were also fortunate to have a docent who is affiliated with the exhibit, and she gave us insights that we might not have otherwise gleaned. It's really exciting to belong to a professional organization that provides such expansive cultural events like this one!"
