CONNECT WITH A TRANSFER SPECIALIST

Pictured: Thomas (TJ) Sutton

Former ACC student TJ Sutton transferred to UT Austin in spring 2023, and is majoring in Sport Management with a minor in The Analytics and Business of Sport.

His advice to students aspiring to transfer: “Aim high and apply to any school you dream of going to. It is easier than ever to submit multiple applications. Apply to as many schools as you can, and to every place you think you might want to go to!”

Ram Vela, ACC Transfer Specialist, is committed to student success and finds it rewarding to help students reach their academic and professional potential.

His advice to students: “It is never too early to start planning to transfer to a 4-year institution. Students can plan ahead by researching the transfer admissions process for their school and understanding how and if it will work for them. Besides planning ahead, I highly recommend joining student clubs/organizations and honor societies, especially if they are planning on applying to competitive universities.”
