Essay Writing Workshop & Review | Dec 4 | Rio Grande Campus

Applying to UT, Texas A&M, or a university that requires an essay for Fall 2025? Join us for an essay writing presentation, followed by time to work with ACC staff and peers on writing or editing your Statement of Purpose. Bring a draft or ideas to get started!

Exciting Scholarship Opportunity at St. Edward’s University

Discover the NextGen E3 program at St. Edward's University, shaping tomorrow's environmental leaders. Major in Biology or Environmental Biology and Climate Change to delve into natural resources and agriculture. Selected students will receive a $15,000 annual scholarship, mentorship from USDA professionals, and a spring internship. Planning to transfer next spring? Some 4-year institutions are still accepting applications! Texas Stat e University’s spring transfer application is open until November 15, 2024.

Former ACC student Monyce Bevis transferred to University of North Texas in the fall of 2020, and completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology. Currently, she is an admissions counselor at UT Dallas.

Her advice to students intending to transfer: “Do your research! Also, utilize your advisors and resources. Be sure to visit the campuses you’re considering before deciding, and stay in touch with an admissions counselor from the institution(s). Ask any questions you have to ensure clarity in your decision-making process.”

ACC’s Fall Transfer Fair 2024 Draws Wide Participation

ACC’s Fall Transfer Fair 2024, held in September 2024, attracted ACC students from across the district. Around 60 universities participated. University recruiters praised ACC students, stating that they were impressed by their thoughtful questions and engagement. Check our Transfer events calendar to stay informed about future events.

ACC Closed on General Assembly Day

ACC is hosting its annual General Assembly for employees on Friday, November 8. The District will be closed that day to allow full participation from all ACC staff and faculty.
