These weekly announcements are meant to be a helpful resource, especially for those of you who put your congregations' bulletins together on a weekly basis. If there are ways we could present this information more effectively please don't hesitate to pass on your ideas or give feedback.

Some churches forward the following information and community life announcements to their members using email while others post various events in their weekly bulletin, on their church website, or Facebook page.

Spring Assembly Celebration
In-person gathering cancelled

Due to the ongoing global health situation, we've decided to alter our 2020 Spring Assembly experience. Unfortunately, we will not be gathering in person at James Street but will do the essential business of conference remotely. Visit the assembly webpage for details.

Notes from Conference Call with Church Leaders from across PA
Several from ACC were able to join a phone call with Dr. Rachel Levine, The Pennsylvania Secretary of Health, who answered submitted questions from faith leaders across the state. A summary of her sharing can be found here.

Have you found yourself needing to use Zoom's video conferencing software more often lately? If you'd like additional training, you can sign up for a live demo by the company at https://zoom.us/events.

Landis Communities Announcements
During these uncertain times, people have been wondering how they can help when they are to be keeping distance from people and many volunteering options have been curtailed. Landis Communities is seeking assistance in creating reusable facemasks. Please see the attached information for the masks we are seeking for use at Landis Homes and Welsh Mountain Home. Finished items made be dropped off at either location. If you have questions, please contact Moniqua Acosta in Volunteer Services 717-509-5409. The following video link will be helpful as you create them.  https://youtu.be/ueWkAuY3k6Y. Everence offers assistance and relief options during COVID-19 outbreak
As part of its mission to help people, churches, businesses and organizations integrate their faith and values into their financial decisions, Everence® is offering assistance and relief options to help members and customers impacted by the evolving COVID-19 outbreak. 

Everence has doubled its available Sharing Funds to help individuals (including pastors) facing lost income. It is also offering church loan forbearance and free budget and debt counseling services. Read the full release at https://bit.ly/3bfsSxk.

Looking for a non-traditional pastoral role? Become a unit leader in Service Adventure, a gap-year program for ages 17–20 from Mennonite Mission Network. Unit leaders, at least 24 years of age, serve as mentors to the young adults in the household. An opening is available at the Service Adventure unit in Jackson, Miss.
