ACC Weekly Announcements December 2, 2020
Pastors, Church Administrators and Secretaries, Bulletin Editors:
These weekly announcements are meant to be a helpful resource, especially for those of you who put your congregations' bulletins together on a weekly basis. If there are ways we could present this information more effectively please don't hesitate to pass on your ideas or give feedback.

Some churches forward the following information and community life announcements to their members using email while others post various events in their weekly bulletin, on their church website, or Facebook page. This and past columns are available on the ACC webpage at atlanticcoastconference.net/ba.
Please let us know if there are additional ways we can assist you as we serve together.

Strengthening Resilience - seminar for ACC pastors & chaplains
Feeling anxious, stressed, angry, tired or fatigued? Feel like you weren’t quite prepared for the stressors and collective trauma of the COVID-19 storm? You aren’t alone. Our resilience reserves are being stretched, but they can be strengthened.  This seminar will focus on two key factors for building resilience – trauma awareness and self-care.  Understanding the impact of stress and trauma on the body/brain, beliefs and behavior and having practical tools for self-regulation and self-care will benefit pastors, their families and the congregations they serve.

This virtual seminar is for pastors and chaplains of Atlantic Coast Conference. Registration is required. Find more info and sign up by Thursday 12/3 at atlanticcoastconference.net/resilience
Ministry Integrity Circles cohort
Ministry Integrity Circles addresses ministry transitions brought on by personal, relational, cultural or structural upheaval specific to particular ministry settings. Pastors are guided in peer groups under the supervision of consultants with expertise in pastoral leadership and intercultural competence to reimagine their ministries in light of these shifts. Each Ministry Integrity Circle is made up of 6 pastors who meet together 4 times in a year to share ministry reflections.

The four gatherings for the Spring 2021 cohort are March 22-23, 2021; June 7-8, 2021; Sept. 20-21, 2021; and Dec. 6-7, 2021.

To find more information about this cohort, visit ambs.edu/lifelong-learning/ministry-integrity-circle. This program offers great benefits for pastors, the congregations they serve, and the conferences that they are a part of. The deadline for applying for the Spring Cohort is January 22, 2021.

Advent at Home
"At a moment of time when many of our congregations feel distant, a common practice and resource can bring us together. So churches, consider giving this to everyone in your congregation, not just the families with children!”
