Listening to Albertans: Budget 2023

Listening to Albertans through public consultations is a valuable part of the process to develop Alberta’s budget. In addition, the government will also receive input from groups including community and business leaders.

Albertans can share their views and ideas for the next budget by filling out an online survey and joining telephone town halls with Finance Minister Travis Toews. Businesses, municipalities, industry associations, community organizations and other groups can send budget submissions through an online portal on behalf of their organizations.

This is a great opportunity to progress Chamber advocacy initiatives and give a voice to local business, so all Chambers are encouraged to participate in the process of developing the 2023 Alberta Budget.

Alberta’s economy has momentum and the government is focused on creating more jobs and diversifying as the province continues to be the economic engine of Canada.

Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program

The Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program (APIP) is a key part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan and the Natural Gas Vision and Strategy to turn the province into a top global producer of petrochemicals. It provides grants to companies to attract investment in new or expanded market-driven petrochemical facilities.

The Alberta Petrochemicals Incentive Program will enhance certainty and flexibility for investors and cut red tape to attract investment into Alberta’s petrochemicals sector.
