Dear ACCA Members, Partners, and Friends
The rapidly changing Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic is impacting all of us and those we serve
In the next few days, we will be temporarily suspending or modifying ACCA ministries and activities to protect the safety of our volunteers, while continuing to maintain as much of our primary missions as responsibly possible.
The ACCA CDC will be closed March 16 and 17, during which time we will evaluate the situation and make the determination on whether the CDC will remain closed or partially open, under limited conditions.
Whether the ACCA CDC is open or closed, we will continue to help ACCA families with food, housing, utilities, prescription, and other types of assistance.
There are no reported cases among students or staff and ACCA-CDC has implemented the published recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Virginia Department of Health.
The April Board of Directors meeting will be postponed or canceled.
Our primary consideration in deciding whether or how to continue different HSM operations is the safety of the ACCA volunteers.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that anyone with symptoms of an acute respiratory illness stay home from work or avoid volunteer activities until they are symptom-free, without the aid of symptom-altering medicines, for 24 hours.
If you feel sick or are exhibiting any signs of illness, please do not volunteer. Please do not volunteer if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe doing so.
We will continue to provide you with updates via emails and on the ACCA website.
Thank you all for all you do for our community! Please take care of yourselves and stay healthy.
Deb Schrag, President
Annandale Community for Christian Action
