EDD Training Expenditure Report
In accordance with Assembly Bill (AB) 1149, Section 14211 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code requires the Director of the Employment Development Department (EDD) to provide an annual report of federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act training expenditures to the Governor, Legislature, and the California Workforce Development Board by November 30 of each year. Local Areas are required to expend 30% of their combined Adult and Dislocated Worker funding allocations on the Training Expenditure Requirement.

On November 30, 2021, the EDD submitted the Training Expenditure Requirement Report (PDF) to the Legislature. On December 10, 2021, the EDD sent all Local Areas a letter advising them if they met the Training Expenditure Requirements for AB 1149. Local Areas that did not meet the requirement were required to submit a corrective action plan to their Regional Advisor.

If you have any questions or require assistance with financial reporting, contact the EDD WSB Financial Management Unit at WSBFinancialManagementUnit@edd.ca.gov. If you have questions or require technical assistance relative to the programs, contact your Regional Advisor.
