Although COVID-19 has required us all to modify the way we interact, we would like you to join us in celebrating the non-profits that diligently serve you, your family, your friends, and your neighbors. Several of our grant recipients are being called upon to increase services, provide for their staff, and figure out what the future holds for them. To better respond to our grant recipients immediate needs during this time, the ACCF lifted grant restrictions on Legacy and TAG grants for 2020. COVID-19 is creating additional costs for many of our organizations while simultaneously causing them to cancel fundraisers.
Please remember them or the Legacy Endowment Fund in your charitable giving plans this year.

The ACCF wants to thank Advanced Architectural Products, Allegan County Emergency Operations Center and the Perrigo Company for their donations. We received small and large face masks,
N-95 face masks, face shields, spray sanitizer and hand gel sanitizer.


The PPE has been sorted and will be distributed to 21
non-profits that serve the residents of Allegan County.
This PPE will keep staff, volunteers and clients safe.

Help us feed families and individuals of Allegan County. Keeping up-to-date with the recommendations of the CDC and the Allegan County Health Department, all donations coming into the pantries must be quarantined for three days. Many pantries don’t have the space required to quarantine items so the Goods Donation Center was created to maintain proper protocol.
Donations are accepted on Wednesdays at the Goods Donation Center, 650 Grand Street, Allegan from 9:00am - 3:00pm. On-site staff and volunteers will unload your vehicle at our garage door. If you would prefer that we purchase these items on your behalf, online donations may be made here.

Please DO NOT leave food donations
outside at the front door of the building.

We have made the decision to switch the Non-Profit Spotlight to an online digital publication for 2021. What does this mean for you? You will no longer receive the Non-Profit Spotlight in your local newspaper and it will not be available at locations around the county - BUT you can sign up HERE to receive a digital copy in your email inbox. The Non-Profit Spotlight will continue to have all the great stories, photo's and informational bits you have come used to, along with this continuing to be a valuable communication tool for the ACCF.

The deadline to respond to the
2020 Census has been extended until October 31!
Why It Matters...

The census count has consequences we will live with for the next decade, if not longer. This makes the stakes even higher.
Michigan stands to lose millions of dollars in federal support for programs that use census data. These include:

  • Medicaid, nutrition assistance
  • Highway construction, infrastructure and planning (including bridges & dams)
  • Title I and Special Education Grants
  • Foster Care and Child Care Grants
  • K-12 education, Section 8 Vouchers, and Head Start/Early Start
  • And so much more.
