2019 ACCF
SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
We were so fortunate to have had a temporary location until the right opportunity surfaced.   The right opportunity came along when Allegan City Hall relocated to their new location on Trowbridge Street.   Now, the iconic   former city hall   building at 112 Locust Street will be the new and permanent location
of the   Allegan County Community Foundation.

Look for us to be settled by the new year.

Friends,

You came through again! Between your donations and our pledge matches,
together we raised just over $14,000. Just to give you an idea of the value
of your gift, I’ve combined last year’s total of $11,111 with this year’s
total of $14,000 and used the endowment calculator from www.alleganfoundation.org/Endowment-Calculator to show the impact of endowed funds.

After 25 years, Legacy Challenge funds will have generated Legacy grants
totaling $36,621 and those same funds will have grown to a market value of
$51,046!

After 50 years, Legacy Challenge funds will have generated Legacy grants
totaling $113,298 and will have a market value of approximately $106,879!

And that is just with funds from the first two years of the Challenge!

Thank you. Your trust and belief in the Foundation is humbling.

With Great Appreciation,

Theresa M. Bray
CEO/Executive Director
Through the Grand Champion Giving program, businesses, farmers, and individuals can donate livestock they’ve purchased from the Allegan County Fair livestock auction to Feeding America West Michigan at no additional cost to them (beyond the actual purchase of the animal), while receiving tax benefits. Feeding America West Michigan covers the cost of transportation, slaughter, and processing. 4H members receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the animal. All of the meat from the donated animals stays here in
Allegan County. Feeding America allows the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative to distribute the meat through the 16 food pantries serving Allegan County residents.
