2021 ACCG Legislative Toolkit Now Available
As the 2021 legislative session approaches, Georgia counties should be in full gear to stay informed, get involved, and make a difference on helping craft sound public policy for the State of Georgia.  ACCG’s Legislative Toolkit is designed to inform individuals about major issues and concerns that counties share in an effort to spark dialogue amongst communities and promote awareness of the Guiding Principles and the Policy Agenda ACCG will actively pursue on their behalf. Before the legislative session begins, county officials are encouraged to take time to review the toolkit and discuss these top issues with their state legislators. County officials are also encouraged to use the toolkit as a guide throughout the session.

Questions regarding any issues outlined in the Toolkit should be directed to a member of the policy staff.

There's Still Time to Register for the Virtual Legislative Roundtables!
Have you registered for a Legislative Roundtable yet? Legislative roundtables will provide county officials an opportunity to review the 2021 Policy Agenda with the ACCG policy staff and engage in discussions with legislators to hear their perspectives on the upcoming legislative session. Attendees will also have an opportunity to share with policy staff what specific issues are of interest to their respective communities. If you cannot attend the session for your district, please register for an alternative session. Meeting dates and registration can be found here.

Time to Update Your County’s ACCG County Legislative Coordinator (CLC)
Annually, ACCG asks counties to update their county’s designated CLC to ensure the most accurate data is reflected in our records. The CLC’s primary responsibilities are to relay pertinent information about current legislation to county commissioners and county management and to maintain an open line of communication with ACCG to ensure county-specific information is readily available for legislators. ACCG encourages all counties to participate and designate a CLC prior to the legislative session. To confirm, update, or appoint your county’s CLC for 2020, please contact Tottianna Davis at tdavis@accg.org or (404) 522-5022.
