ACC Patient Meetings
2017 Patient Meeting, Boston, USA

Patient gatherings are not for everyone. Some people prefer to deal with their diagnosis within a small circle of loved ones. However, many initially-cautious patients are surprised by how comforting and cathartic it can be to share experiences with others facing the same rare disease. Fortunately, there are a growing number of patient gatherings across the globe. Please consider attending one of the following events that typically include a few hours of socializing and research updates while sharing a meal or two.

ACCRF Patient Meetings:

St Paul, Minnesota, USA - May 19, 2018  (email  info@accrf.org )

Boston, MA, USA  - Sept/Oct 2018 TBD (email  info@accrf.org )

ACCOI Patient Meetings:

Winter Gardens, FL, USA - April 28, 2018

London, UK - May 12, 2018 (email London_Em@yahoo.co.uk)

Langhorne, PA, USA  - June 2, 2018 (email  fsgiannone@gmail.com)

Patients who would like to organize a gathering in their own region may contact Pascale Reich at ACCOI (info@accoi.org).

2018 #DODGEACC Team

ACC Survivor, Shawn Elizabeth George (second from right), celebrated the first anniversary of her maxillectomy surgery by hosting a Dodgeball Fundraiser to benefit ACCRF.  On March 9th in Avon, CT, youth and adult teams met to have fun, dodge balls and raise over $10,000 to support ACC research!

To see more pictures from this event, and/or learn more about Shawn's journey with ACC, visit www.shawnelizabethgeorge.com.

If you would like to host a #DODGEACC fundraiser, please send us an email and we will help you organize a similar event.

Matching Gift
Last year, we informed you of a matching gift opportunity totaling $150,000. And the patient community stepped up!

This $150,000 was  fully matched , helping ACCRF to continue supporting the most impactful ACC research.

Due to our research successes, many new and exciting proposals are flowing to ACCRF from a growing and energetic set of researchers. For example, ACCRF grants are allowing researchers to:
  • Understand how to harness the patient's own immune system to shrink ACC tumors
  • Discover new drugs to attack the molecular Achilles' heel of the disease
  • Identify which ACC tumors will be the most aggressive and in need of earlier treatment
We need your financial help to make sure that improved therapies and a cure flow from these proposals.

Please consider making a contribution today!
