STEM Workforce Task Force

This Task Force was created to address our industry’s workforce needs by encouraging more students to consider pursuing the many diverse career options within the consulting engineering industry. The goal is to increase the next generation of engineering professionals by working with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia, and K-12 systems around the state to encourage students to pursue careers in the built environment. ACEC Georgia Inclusion & Diversity Task Force

This month's meeting will be on the topic of Hiring Intellectually Disabled Individuals into The Workforce.

An estimated 7 million Americans have an intellectual disability. The majority of adults with an intellectual disability are either unemployed or underemployed, despite their ability, desire, and willingness to engage in meaningful work in the community. Employers are discovering that with a little help, workers with such disabilities can take on a wide array of jobs.

2022 Georgia Transportation Summit

This event features transportation leaders, elected officials, Georgia's engineering industry, and professionals from around the state. This all-day event will feature General Session with the transportation heads of GDOT and other agencies around the state, the Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality (GPTQ) Awards and afternoon breakout session led by GDOT.
