Virtual Delivery of Future Capital Works Information
ACEC-SK continues to pressure the government to fast-track spending on capital projects. Our number one priority in the coming months will be to deliver Virtual Forums that relay critical details about upcoming projects.

Advocacy
Letter to Premier Moe
A letter released to the Premier offered the services of SK consulting engineering firms, and requested:
  • Capital projects be fast-tracked, with an emphasis on design work
  • Engineering be considered an essential service
  • Recognition of engineering role for repurposing capital assets during this health crisis
Economic Sustainability Recommendations
Released a detailed letter to Minister Harrison with recommendations for Economic Sustainability and Recovery that included:
  • industry-specific suggestions
  • ideas shared by ACEC-SK principals that may bolster the cash-flows and solvency of small businesses. 
Keeping Construction Sites Open
A call by the entire construction industry continuum, including ACEC-SK, was made to allow construction sites to remain open.

APEGS & ACEC-SK Joint Meeting
It is imperative that the entire SK engineering industry work together in these unprecedented times. A joint Executive meeting will be held virtually on April 2, 2020 to further this initiative
Coordinated Consulting Engineering Industry Response Across Canada
ACEC-Canada released a letter to the Prime Minister outlining our collective industry's position. It is also framing a coordinated response in support of all ACEC provincial and territorial associations.
