Meet Marian Grenchik,
ACEDC's Business Outreach Specialist

Share a little "elevator speech" bio about yourself:

As a long-time Adams County resident, I am very excited to be joining a great team at the Adams County Economic Development Corporation that is focused on helping the community by enhancing local business efforts. After graduating from Delone, I attended Mount Saint Mary’s University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in 2015.

Tell us what your position as business outreach specialist will entail:

The primary function of my job is to go out into the community and conduct corporate interviews on behalf of the ACEDC. During these interviews I will be specifically asking what the EDC can do to assist in the growth and development of their organizations. Afterward, I will report back to the ACEDC team and we will develop a plan for that particular company’s economic growth and development.

When you're not working, what are your favorite hobbies or interests?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, boyfriend and of course, my dogs. During the winter and summer months I’m a swim coach for the beginner levels of the Gettysburg Sharks Swim Team. I love sharing my passion for swimming with the kids. Other interests include daily challenging workouts at CrossFit Gettysburg, anything outdoors, road trips to the beach and visiting my family in North Carolina as often as possible.

Favorite type of Adams County apple?

My favorite type of Adams County apple is definitely the Granny Smith or Golden Delicious!

Favorite spot on the Gettysburg National Military Park (battlefield)?

All-time favorite spot on the battlefield is Little Round Top at sunset!

Favorite spot in Adams County for ice cream? And favorite flavor?

Mr. G’s because they have amazing brownie sundaes and the ring game outside that is always entertaining!

Marian looks forward to meeting Adams County business and community leaders over the next several months!
