MIDDLE LEFT- The students in The Arc of York County’s After School Options Program in York fulfilled their civic duty by voting Tuesday. First, they chose four possible names for our giant teddy bear. Then they cast votes for their favorite name. The winner in a run-off — Winnie the Pooh. They also made American flags; and, because a polling place is in our location, they were given “I Voted” stickers.
MIDDLE RIGHT- Ellie, an Old English Sheepdog from KPETS, visited our After School Options Program. The kids loved walking Ellie around the room, feeding her treats and petting her. KPETS is an organization with more than 300 volunteer teams, providing thousands of hours of animal assisted therapy for hundreds of facilities and agencies every year.
BOTTOM LEFT- The management team of The Arc of York County traveled to Denver for The Arc’s National Convention. The Arc’s National Convention is an unmatched opportunity for the team to connect and learn with advocates, professionals, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families.
BOTTOM RIGHT- At The Arc of York County's Annual Meeting, Rep. Carol Hill-Evans presented a proclamation to The Arc of York County for its 70 years of serving people with intellectual disabilities in south central Pennsylvania.
