Creating Loyal Customers
It's easier than ever to gain new customers with the help of internet marketing. However, the trick to a lucrative handyman or handywoman business is to make sure you keep those customers loyal. It's much more expensive to earn a new customer than to keep a current one. Look at these 3 ways you can maximize customer retention.
Provide excellent quality.
This one is obvious, but the most important. Consistently provide high quality service that exceeds your customer's expectations. Listen to them, be friendly and interested and take pride in your work. Stand behind what you do. Even if your quote for a job is too low, continue to put in the effort and hold your work to a high standard.
Communicate effectively.
Once you are working with customers, you need to remember that it's important to let them know why they should hire you in the future. Talk about the benefits they'll receive from hiring you. Remind them that you value their business. Explain that you like to build relationships based on openness and trust. Be transparent but tactful about pricing. Make it easy for them to hire you again by giving them your contact information and promptly answering any inquiries.
Keep them thinking about you.
Stay connected with your customers so they are thinking of you the next time they need some help around their home. You can automate email newsletters to go to your customers every other month. If your customers like your Facebook page or follow you on Twitter, this is the perfect way to keep them posted on promotional offers and updates.
Take the right steps and your customers will become loyal to your handyman or handywoman business.
