3 Basic Tips to Ensure Your Customers are Happy
Running a handyman business is a big accomplishment. There are a lot of tasks to manage, and one of those is ensuring your customers are happy. Your customers provide the revenue for the business, and you get to experience the joy that accompanies pleasing them. Look at these three tips you can use to keep your customers satisfied.
Stay connected
It's smart to stay connected to your customers so the next time they need a project completed, they think of you. If you have a list of email subscribers, send out emails with relevant information and an occasional discount off a future service. If you have a Facebook page, use it to share changes in your business, promotional offers, and other news or updates. Make sure to do more than just advertise. Do what you can to stay in the forefront of your customer's minds.
Impress them with every point of contact
While this one seems pretty obvious, it's also pretty important. If you want to keep your customers happy, you need to consistently provide service that, at minimum, meets their expectations. Show you care when you talk to them, listen to what they have to say, and acknowledge their concerns. Always take pride in your work and stand behind it.
Remember that the customer is always right
This one can be painful sometimes, but remember the customer is always right. Following this rule will help you grow your customer base. Focus on what you can do to make your customer's happy. Have a plan to help you resolve any issues that arise when you are working with unsatisfied customers. Make sure you always aim to make the unhappy customers turn into advocates of your handyman business.
Every business needs satisfied customers if they want to continue to churn revenue and gain referrals. To keep your customers happy, make sure to stay in contact with them, always prioritize value, and respond and resolve any issues that arise in a prompt and professional manner.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?
|
Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
- Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
- Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
- Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
|
