Please check your ACHP Listing!
Many customers visit our site daily looking for a handyman. Unfortunately, some of our ACHP members have not created or submitted a listing to the directory and are losing out on good revenue. Please log in to your ACHP account and click on "create a listing", fill in the info, then click "continue/submit" then the "submit" button on the next page to activate your listing. Please note clicking the "save" link will not submit your listing to the directory, you must click "submit". ACHP does not nor is not a referral based company. However, ACHP allows you as a member, to use our directory listing to advertise your services.

MORE REVENUE FOR YOU! Garage Gator announces: "all ACHP Members are now eligible to install their products". In the past all ACHP Members were required to take and pass the Garage Gator installation exam, this is no longer required. All members listings are used for Garage Gator installation opportunities. Lockton Switches its Carrier
Lockton has updated their website and has switched its carrier. Check out their new site. Now available in all states except NY. Call 888-230-3438 (*HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*) for questions regarding insurance coverages, new and renewed policies, etc.
Since Lockton has revamped there are some changes to their procedures. All new policies will be administered through the new site. You are now required to use your Member ID which can be found on your Member Certificate.

Insurance Updates
Lockton has added an easy "pay my bill" link for easy insurance policy renewals. "Participants of our insurance program will still receive their yearly invoices however, we made it easier for members to renew their insurance policy invoices online" says Asst VP, Joe Perkins of Lockton.

If you have recently renewed your insurance policy with ACHP Lockton for the yr and cannot access your ACHP profile "My Account" or it's asking for payment, please contact us immediately so we can activate your account and listing.

Tips for Providing Exceptional Customer Service
Exceptional customer service is the way to convert visitors into loyal customers. Your goal should be to provide such great service that your customers refer you to their family, friends and co-workers. Think about the experience your customer has at every touch point, from your website to emails you send to in-person contact. Look at these 4 ways you can create a pattern of providing exceptional customer service.
Know your services.
For you to provide the best customer service, you must know what you are doing. Make sure you and your staff knows what they are doing. Be prepared for the most commonly asked questions and know how to articulate answers that will satisfy your customers.
Customer service is focused around a friendly attitude and a smile. In a face-to-face situation, a smile should be the first thing your customers see and hear. Even as you address customer service requests over a phone, people can literally hear the smile in your voice. Always be friendly.
It's essential that you always say thank you. Gratitude stands out to others; it will remind your customers why they use your handyman or handywoman services. Show your gratitude and appreciation after every encounter you have with your customers.
One of the simplest ways to show exceptional customer service is by listening. Listening is when you hear what your customers are saying and what they communicate to you non-verbally. Keep an eye out for any signs they aren't happy and listen to what they say to you.
Excellent customer service starts with a desire to help your customers but extends beyond the handyman services you provide. Providing consistent quality of service is key to the success of your handyman business.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?
Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
- Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
- Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
- Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
