Where's My Listing?? IMPORTANT

Please check your listing. If it is missing you must contact us immediately - YOU ARE LOSING REVENUE as customers are contacting us daily for help finding and verifying members. Also, if you recently renewed your ACHP Insurance policy and cannot access the members area, please let us know so we can activate your access and listing. We recommend everyone login and ensure their member access is still in tact and directory listing information is viewable to all. Send us an email here

Garage Gator announces: "all ACHP Members are now permitted to install their products". In the past all ACHP Members were required to take and pass the Garage Gator installation exam, this is no longer required. All members directory listings are open for Garage Gator installation opportunity. However, ACHP will keep the exam in place for those who wish to learn prior to installing the systems. Lockton Switches its Carrier

Lockton has updated their website and has switched its carrier. Check out their new site. Now available in all states except NY. Call 888-230-3438 (*HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*) for questions regarding insurance coverages, new and renewed policies, etc.

Since Lockton has revamped there are some changes to their procedures. All new policies will be administered through the new site. You will now be required to use your Member ID which can be found on your Member Certificate.

Many customers visit our site daily looking for a handyman. Unfortunately, some of our ACHP members have not created or submitted a listing to the directory and are losing out on good revenue. Please log in to your ACHP account and click on "

create a listing", fill in the info, then click

"continue/submit" then the "submit" button on the next page to activate your listing. Please note clicking the "save" link will not submit your listing to the directory, you must click "submit".

Lockton has added an easy "pay my bill" link for easy insurance policy renewals. "Participants of our insurance program will still receive their yearly invoices however, we made it easier for members to renew their insurance policy invoices online" says Asst VP, Joe Perkins of Lockton.

Also, If you have recently renewed your insurance policy with ACHP Lockton for the yr and cannot access your ACHP profile "My Account" or it's asking for payment, please contact us immediately so we can activate your account and listing.

4 Traits of a Handyman or Handywoman Who Provides Quality Workmanship

Quality workmanship is a combination of attributes that combine to make a good worker. Workmanship is a valued human attribute that serves people well when they're on the job. Look at these three traits of a person who provides quality workmanship.

Dedication.

An ideal handyman or handywoman professional cares about the job and shows this in various ways, from showing up on time to always going the extra mile to get the job done right. Maintain a positive attitude throughout every project, from the first day you meet the customer until the job is complete. Make it a point to understand the customer and their needs.

Willingness to learn.

Someone who displays quality workmanship doesn't have to know everything, but does show that he strives to keep learning more. It's important to be humble enough to be open to learning opportunities and take any steps needed to improve your performance on the job. A commitment to excellence creates better services - ones that stand out over your competitors.

Detail-oriented.

To provide quality workmanship, you must pay close attention to detail and have a passion to get things right. It's not always important to be fast - getting things done more quickly but delivering a sloppy finished product won't make anyone happy.

Creativity.

The ability to think creatively and possess autonomy are invaluable traits that lead to new ideas and can help you gain more business. If you're working on wainscoting or building something for your customers, they may know just what they want you to do. Alternately, they may be open to your suggestions about what is the most practical or what you see a trend in and want you to weigh in.

Through your dedication, willingness to learn and attention to detail, you can provide the highest quality of workmanship to all your customers.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?

Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.

To fix this problem:

Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
