Lockton has updated their website and has switched its carrier.  Check out their new site.  Now available in all states except NY.

ADT Referral Program

Lockton has added an easy "pay my bill" link for easy insurance policy renewals.  "Participants of our insurance program will still receive their yearly invoices however, we made it easier for members to renew their insurance policy invoices online" says Asst VP, Joe Perkins of Lockton.

Also,  If you have recently renewed your insurance policy with ACHP Lockton for the yr and cannot access your ACHP profile "My Account" or it's asking for payment, please contact us immediately so we can activate your account and listing.

Don't Miss These Simple Actions to Keep Your Handyman Customers Loyal 
 
 
If you're a handyman who can fix pretty much everything, your skills are in demand. People want a trustworthy and talented handyman to help around their house with projects and to fix the occasional leak. A handyman business can be profitable - but comes with some challenges too. It's important to make keeping your customers happy a top priority in order to experience success. Here are three strategies to keep your customers' content and your business booming.

Always thank your customers.
Kindness and gratitude will take you far in any business. Many customers say that they spend more money with a company due to positive experiences. Gratitude and saying "thanks" is an undeniable way to further solidify their business and build loyalty for the long term.

Craft every thank you sent from your company to be customer-specific and relevant. Show your appreciation and always say those two magic words: thank you.

Follow through on your word.
Your word is the foundation of your bond with a customer. Following through on your promises shows the transparency of your handyman business, and will help build a sense of security and dependability with your audience.
Help understand and manage the expectations of your customers so their goals for your handyman business are realistic and attainable. Remain consistent through the verbiage in your messaging so your customers have no question what they should expect from you.

Treat your customer like your partner.
Communication is a two-way street. Take their feedback to heart and act upon any reasonable requests. No matter how good of a listener you claim to be, it means next to nothing if your customers make suggestions and you fail to make any changes. Make certain it's clear that you value and want feedback from your customers and that you see them as a partner - and then prove that through your actions. This unwavering focus on your customer will strengthen their loyalty, trust, and love for your handyman business.
 
These three strategies are ones that you can implement today to help you build a stronger relationship with your customers -- and make running a handyman business even more enjoyable.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?
Our search requests continue to increase significantly.  The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered.  This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings.  However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while.  In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing.  How do we know this?  Some of them are calling ACHP.  Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
 
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
  1. Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately. 
  2. Click on "My Directory Listings"  then "Edit".  Ensure your information is up to date.
  3. Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.
Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc.  Add more unique keywords.
