Insurance Updates
Because it is against law and insurance practices, Lockton Affinity and ACHP cannot share databases which makes it an administration nightmare for us to keep track of who renews. That is one of the main reasons Lockton charges an ACHP member fee on renewals. It also has added an easy "pay my bill" link for convenient insurance policy renewals.
"Participants of our insurance program will still receive their yearly invoices however, we made it easier for members to renew their insurance policy invoices online" says Asst VP, Joe Perkins of Lockton.

If you have recently renewed your insurance policy with ACHP Lockton for the year and cannot access your ACHP profile "My Account" or it's asking for payment, please contact us immediately so we can activate your account and listing.

How to Have Better Customer Service
Instead of targeting all of your handyman professional services customers as if they are the same person with the same needs, it's time to revitalize marketing practices and provide personalized customer experiences that engage and attract. The 21st century consumer expects good service- 55 percent of customers stated they would pay extra to guarantee better service according to Defaqto research.
Here are three steps to provide mind-boggling service that will keep your customers coming back time and again.
Quit talking about yourself.
Your potential customer will have a problem and will be looking around for a solution. Instead of simply rattling off what you can do for your customer, focus on solving his or her problems. Listening to your customers yields success.
Understand your customer.
To fully understand your customer's problem, you need to first understand him or her. Figure out who your customer really is and how you want to tailor your communication on an individualized basis. Your tone and approach will vary slightly from one customer to the next.
Build a relationship with your customer.
You have attracted the attention of your customer, now it's vital to hold onto it. Make sure you don't force your services down their throat; let your customer make his or her own decision about whether or not they are interested. When you communicate with your potential customer, realize you are building a relationship. Give your customers a chance to explore your product and determine and describe their needs on their own.
Instead of always trying to reach short-term goals and make a single sale, handyman professionals should concentrate on building a long-term, lasting relationship with the customer.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?
|
Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
- Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
- Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
- Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
