Announcing ACM SIGGRAPH Award Winners


ACM SIGGRAPH is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s awards and new members of the SIGGRAPH Academy, listed below.


The ACM SIGGRAPH Awards will be presented in a ceremony at SIGGRAPH 2024 on Tuesday, 30 July in Denver.

For his pioneering work in non-photorealistic animation and rendering (NPR), image synthesis, character animation, computational photography and the interplay between computer generated and traditional art

For a dissertation which significantly extends the state of the art in physical simulation by presenting new groundbreaking methods to handle contacts in dynamic simulations of rigid and deformable objects.

Attend the SIGGRAPH 2024 Thesis Fast Forward



Attend the SIGGRAPH 2024 Thesis Fast Forward at SIGGRAPH this year. The program offers a high level overview of the research happening each year in computer graphics in the form of three minutes presentations directly from the authors of the work. The SIGGRAPH Thesis Fast Forward is a unique forum for graduating Ph.D. students in computer graphics to present their research and results for the community.

ACM Monthly Member Profile: Xuelong Mu

Meet Xuelong Mu, graduate of Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University and current Unreal Engine Software Developer at Cesium. Giving back to the Unreal Engine community, Xuelong creates educational videos on game development techniques, hosted on the Pending Kill YouTube channel. He recently developed an AR experience called Rainforest for Hololens 2, intending to bring awareness to deforestation through experiential storytelling and time-dynamic data visualization. Inspired by his colleagues and mentors at Cesium who have a long history with ACM SIGGRAPH, Xuelong attended his first SIGGRAPH Conference in 2022 in Vancouver.
