Univ of Michigan needs help recruiting ACO volunteers for a research study

Opportunity to partake in a research project conducted by a team at the University of Michigan Medical School: This study, funded by the National Institute on Aging, is investigating the launch of Pathways to Success in 2019. The goal of the study is to help CMS understand what influenced ACOs' decision to continue participation in MSSP following the launch of Pathways and what effects the program has had on care delivery, health outcomes, and spending.

The research team is recruiting ACO leadership from ACOs that renewed or dropped out of MSSP following Pathways to Success to partake in a 50-60 minute semi-structured interview. For more information or if interested in participating, please contact Sitara Murali at: sitara@med.umich.edu
Reforming our nation’s health care system is an economic and moral imperative that is long overdue. The COVID-19 pandemic has only further illustrated its deficiencies and made clear the vital importance of a high-value health system capable of responding to the needs of US citizens.
The pandemic has brought many hospitals and insurers both closer together or farther apart depending on how the two responded and interacted during the first year of the crisis. Providers and payers that expanded their cooperative efforts since COVID-19 struck are likely to continue on that path, and so are those who pulled back from each other in the past year...
