MEMBER UPDATE
DAS Commercial – Telephone Legal Advice Service provides unlimited access to general legal advice at any time.

This benefit will be available to all ACPA Members that renew for 2019. The $5 per member cost will be included in the membership renewal fee.
Call for Volunteers
The ACPA is looking for volunteers for the Technical Seminar Committee. If you or a member you know is interested in being an active member of the association, you may inquire or express your interest by emailing us at [email protected].
Insurance brokers and their clients may question whether there is any benefit to placing the professional’s Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance and Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance with the same insurer. This is an opportunity for members and guests to interact, network and bond with other members over drinks and appetizers while also indulging in a lecture given by one of our own. The event will be held in both Calgary and Edmonton and is intended to bring together our community of chemists.

Kathy will provide a brief overview of the drugs that might be encountered in situations of drug-facilitated sexual assault (DFSA) and their effects. The chemistry and symptoms of the drugs used will be accompanied by stories from actual DFSA cases from her career in forensics.

Panelist Discussion
UA-WiSE (University of Alberta Women in Science and Engineering) and WISER (Women in Science Engineering and Research) are launching the fourth year of their mentorship program. The program is geared towards STEM fields and aims to connect undergraduate students, early career professionals, graduate students, and professionals who are well established in their careers. The program is open to both men and women.
AGAT Laboratories' Science and Technology Talks 2019 offer the opportunity for industry professionals to join together to learn and discuss relevant topics in the Energy, Environmental, Industrial and Health and Safety Sectors. Additionally, it offers an opportunity to present their unique challenges and questions to our industry leaders from a variety of backgrounds such as governmental, laboratory, energy and environmental consulting professions.
