ACPA 2021 Annual General Meeting
Due to the public health impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and to support the health and well-being of our members, the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta (ACPA) will be held virtually.

Complete 2021 Annual General Meeting materials will become available on the ACPA website soon and may be accessed for review and download within the Member Menu – Annual General Meetings - 2021 AGM. This includes prior years' approved financial reports, operating budgets, and meeting minutes, as well as nomination information and the 2021 agenda and presentation.

Meeting information including call-in details will be emailed to registrants prior to AGM.
Consider an exciting opportunity to help your Association and serve as a member of the ACPA Board of Directors. Nominations are now open.

Nominations from the membership must be received at the ACPA office by
March 14, 2021, with the written consent of the nominee. The nominee must be a member in good standing, and the nomination must be signed by at least three (3) members in good standing. If the three sponsoring members cannot all sign a single copy, they can each fax, mail, or email a copy of the nomination form with their signature and the name of the nominee to the ACPA office.

New Directors will be elected and installed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 28, 2021.

Arthur Bollo-Kamara Graduate Scholarship
The ACPA has established the Arthur Bollo-Kamara Scholarship as a memorial tribute to Arthur Bollo-Kamara, Ph.D., P.Chem., and the work he conducted on behalf of chemists in this province. This $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to a student registered in a graduate chemistry program at a university in the province of Alberta.

The ACPA Undergraduate Scholarship in Chemistry ($1000) is awarded annually to a student who is registered in a full-time undergraduate chemistry program at a university in the province of Alberta.
ACPA is hosting a Student Research Video competition and is inviting both graduate and undergraduate students to participate. This event will provide motivation, encouragement, and most of all, recognition to Professional Chemists of the future.

If you are looking for an industrial job, this is also a great addition to your resume, demonstrating that you have been active beyond the classroom.

The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) is the country’s largest annual youth science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) event, bringing together top young scientists and their projects, selected by our national network of over 100 regional STEM fairs in every province and territory.

Three days of school and public viewing welcome visitors who engage with the finalists about their projects and also experience STEM Expo – interactive and inspiring exhibits featuring ideas and opportunities in STEM.
