ACPA 2022 Message From Your President
Streamlining Professional Legislation

Over the past few years the Government of Alberta through the Department of Labour and Immigration has introduced Acts and Regulations that have influenced the ACPA, most notably the Fair Registration Practices Act (FRPA) (2019) and the Labour Mobility Act (2021). Particularly with the FRPA, the association had to adjust policies to account for regulations that resulted from that legislation.
Complete 2022 Annual General Meeting materials will become available on the ACPA website prior to the meeting and may be accessed for review and download within the Member Menu – Annual General Meetings - 2022 AGM.

This includes prior years' approved financial reports, operating budgets, proxy forms, and meeting minutes, as well as nomination information and the 2022 agenda and presentation.

The ACPA is pleased to offer its members a new prescription safety eyewear benefit program. The Eyesafe program was created by the Alberta Association of Optometrists more than 50 years ago with a goal of eliminating needless on the job eye injuries. There are many reasons people don’t wear their safety eyewear, but the ACPA targeted those that could be remedied with a comprehensive prescription safety eyewear program and chose Eyesafe.
