Albemarle County, VA - At approximately 8:30 am, on Sunday, January 22, 2023, units from Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on James Monroe Parkway near Ashlawn-Highland Drive.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team.
