Commissioner Profile: Indra K. Reddy
I am fascinated to witness how the pharmacy profession continues to advance in various global settings, where pharmacists are assuming greater responsibility in patient care and pushing the boundaries of traditional clinical practice norms.  As one of the most trusted and accessible health care providers, pharmacists are key in sharing vital information with patients.  Pharmacists truly make a difference on a global scale by serving as health care providers and as stewards of wellness and prevention care.
It has been my tremendous privilege to serve as Chair of the International Commission.  I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful and committed group of the most knowledgeable and outstanding individuals and to work directly with pharmacy programs from around the world.  Working with the International Services Program has been one of the most exciting engagements of my professional career.  As Commissioners, we are able to witness and participate in, first-hand, the continuous quality enhancement of pharmacy education and practices throughout the world.  It is truly a rewarding and priceless experience.

The International Services Program (ISP) exhibited at the 76th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2016. This year, the congress was hosted in Buenos Aires, Argentina from August 28 to September 1, 2016. ISP staff, Peter Vlasses (Executive Director of ACPE), Mike Rouse (Director of International Services), and Silvi Kastrati (International Coordinator), were on-site to promote the ISP services and activities. The exhibit gave us the unique opportunity to connect and network with individuals from different sectors of the pharmacy world, especially those in Latin America.

ISP also hosted a reception on Monday, August 29, and several members of the ACPE Board of Directors, International Commission, International Services Program Advisory Group (ISPAG), Memorandum of Understanding partners, SMART Pharmacy Project partners, and representatives of ACPE-Certified programs were in attendance. This was a great opportunity for the team to sincerely thank every individual who works tirelessly to advance the ISP mission and vision regarding pharmacy education.
