Looking Forward: Thoughts from Dr. Tassone....
  • What are your hopes for the podiatric profession moving forward?
  • What role do you feel the ACPM should play to enhance the profession?
I have been in practice for over 23 years, and I have seen significant changes in our profession. I am happy to summarily say that they are all positive! I am quick to relate that to candidates applying to the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine, to incoming students and to anyone considering podiatry as a profession. Podiatric presence and influence have increased in administrative and leadership roles within hospitals, the military, and insurance arenas, and I have no doubt this positive trajectory will continue. I am proud to be podiatrist and truly love the profession.

These past few years have been pivotal for the American College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly ACFAOM). It has been a time of transition and exponential growth. I have had the tremendous blessing to be on the board of directors these last four years and work with colleagues that sincerely love our profession and whose talents have elevated the ACPM to a vital organization who is quickly becoming what our mission statement states our main goal is; to be the educational leader in the podiatric profession. I have full confidence, that ACPM, with our sister organization, ABPM, that we will continue to strive and succeed in providing quality education to podiatry.
