Kamran Farahani, DPM, MPH, FACPM
Dr. Kamran Farahani was raised in Scottsdale, AZ. He received his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University. Dr. Farahani received his Master’s in Public Health from Kirksville, MO.  Furthermore, attended medical school at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at North Shore LIJ- Forest Hills Hospital-New York. He also served as the Chief Resident at Forest Hills Hospital.

Dr. Farahani has experience with a wide range of patients, including those with physical disabilities. His special interests are in diabetic limb salvage surgery, wound care, diabetic foot ulcers. His interest in geriatrics stems from his sense of fulfillment in caring for the older adult population along with the desire to further understand how the aging process leads to chronic disease and frailty.  Given his background in public health, he hopes to further research and impact how health outcomes and health care delivery can be improved for our elderly population.

He is also a strong believer that knowledge is power! This is demonstrated by the unexpected amount of time Dr. Farahani spends with each of his patients, making sure they understand every phase of their care. The more they know, the more they are in control of their health - nothing is more important than earning the trust of his patients. It is this connection and doctor-patient relationship that paves the way for the patient to gain confidence and be completely at ease.
Thoughts on the Role of the ACPM
“I would like to see more involvement and participation from recent graduates and young practitioners in ACPM. Their perspective on the quality of education and training over the last ten years can help educate and raise awareness to the entire medical community about the skills and qualifications of a podiatrist.”
