Families - At ACS we continue to be diligent about providing a healthy environment. Below is a reminder of the key procedures we are focused on to keep students healthy in a season where you have heard a lot about the flu and COVID-19.
·         Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
·         Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
·         Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
·         As both the flu and COVID-19 have a presence in Michigan, we ask that you practice caution when sending kids to school. Have students stay home when they are sick, including respiratory illnesses. Individuals with fevers or significant symptoms   should not return until 24 hours after symptoms are gone. The CDC also encourages people to stay home from school and work if there is a significant illness in the household they have been exposed to. Although the cases are more mild for kids, there are higher risk people in our community that we want to protect as much as possible.
·         Cover your mouth and nose with the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze.
·         Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Additionally, the CDC is an excellent resource for updated on COVID-19. A recent release provided important information for how you can help focus on healthy habits at home, school, and the workplace. Please follow this link to learn more:

Tuition Assistance for 2020-21  ACS participates in FACTS, a grant application program for our school. Completion of the FACTS application is a requirement for next year's enrollment if you are expecting a remaining balance at the end of the school year or you will be requesting tuition assistance. Families who wish to apply for tuition assistance will need to use the FACTS application format online at  Parents who have children in more than one of the participating schools need only to fill out the application one time-the information will be available to other Christian schools where their children attend. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2020. The application fee will be paid by the participating schools.

Pancake Breakfast: Saturday, March 21 8:00-11:00am Allendale Christian School
Students and staff from Allendale Christian School are going to Guatemala! This mission trip will be with Paradise Bound Ministries. The team will build five 10x12 houses for poor families in the one of the poorest villages in Guatemala. Two other days will be spent doing remote medical clinics, providing much needed medicines to families, as well as sharing the gospel story of Jesus Christ. The trip is spiritually and emotionally difficult, but also very rewarding. The team will have the opportunity to share their testimonies and be the hands and feet of Jesus. All proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be used to pay for the houses (each house costs $1475 and we will build 5) and the medical clinics (each clinic is $1500 and we do two). If you can’t attend the breakfast but would still like to donate to the trip, please see Julie Van Oordt, team leader from Allendale Christian School.

Are you willing to put your feet into action to feed the hungry?  The enrichment kindergartners at ACS are willing and invite you to join us. They are busy preparing crafts for children age 3-10 to make and take home on Sat. March 28. You are invited to come and go anytime between 9 and noon, to the rotunda at Allendale Christian School. Each craft costs $5 and you can choose to do as many as you want. Bring your child or grandchild and spend a calm and special time together. The children will need an adult to supervise and assist in the crafts ( no drop offs). All supplies provided and ALL proceeds will be donated to Bethany Baptist Mission Haiti. Pastor Jospeh will be speaking at our May 15 chapel where the gift will be given!

Moms in Prayer   meet at Allendale Christian on Thursdays  from 8:30-9:30am  i n the girls locker room!  All Moms are welcome!
