ACSA Announces BevCon Distillery Lineup
Four ACSA member distilleries will be showcasing their spirits at two exclusive events at BevCon in Los Angeles, Sunday, August 19 through Tuesday, August 21.
In two short years, BevCon has quickly become one of the country’s most exciting and inspiring, industry-only beverage events. Professional bartenders, sommeliers, buyers, beverage makers, distributors, importers, media, marketing, public relations professionals and other related companies all gather in an intimate setting to learn from one another, share resources, network and become inspired to grow their respective businesses.

Meet the Makers: Tuesday, August 21st | 3:30 - 5:00 PM
CALI Distillery  (Los Angeles, CA) will pour ​CALI California Sipping Whiskey, Riptide Cask Strength Rye Whiskey, Mavericks Doublewood Small Batch American Whiskey*, Sukkah Hill Spirits Etrog Liqueur, Sukkah Hill Spirits Besamim Liqueur and Mavericks Eighty Eight* (*pre-release). Blinking Owl Distillery  (Santa Ana, CA) will showcase its Vodka, OC Orange Vodka, Aquavit, Gin and Old Tom Gin

Registration Open: ACSA Regional Safety Education Program in Long Beach
Join us as we head to Long Beach, California for our next Regional Education Program, Thursday, September 6 to Friday, September 7. ACSA has partnered with Industrial Safety and Training Services to present "Distillery Safety Management 101." Learn about hazard recognition, requirements of written policies, regulatory training, general OSHA compliance and much more over this two-day class. The registration fee is $399 for ACSA members and $699 for non-members. The fee for any additional participants from your company is $299 for members and $529 for non-members. We've negotiated a discount room rate of $149 a night at the event's host hotel, the Courtyard Long Beach Downtown. The rate expires on August 24, so don't delay!

Pine Bluffs Distilling Expands Distribution Beyond Wyoming
Pine Bluffs Distilling’s Rock Ranch Vodka and Rusted Ring White Whiskey will soon be available in five states in addition to Wyoming, the distillery announced. (The Drinkable Globe)
Call for Presentations: ACSA Distillers' Convention & Vendor Trade Show
We invite you to share your expertise with the craft spirits community at ACSA’s 6 th Annual Distillers’ Convention and Vendor Trade Show, February 10-12, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you’re interested in presenting, please submit your proposal no later than August 15 . ACSA prides itself on professional education providing the greatest possible learning experience for our industry. Each individual Call for Presentations will be personally vetted by the ACSA Education Committee.
High Wire Distilling to Turn 10,000 Pounds of S.C. Peaches Into Brandy
High Wire Distilling Co. in downtown Charleston is in the process of turning nearly 10,000 pounds of July Prince peaches from Titan Farms in Ridge Spring, S.C. into peach brandy. Co-owner Scott Blackwell says they were advised to use that variety because it’s one of the best-tasting peaches that Titan grows on its 6,200 acres. (Titan produces more peaches than the entire state of Georgia). (The Post and Courier) 
Balcones Opening Bar at Texas Entertainment Complex This Month
Balcones Distilling will open its first bar at Texas Live, the Arlington entertainment complex opening in August, with an assortment of whiskey expressions and cocktails. (CultureMap Dallas)
Michigan's Coppercraft Re-Releases Straight Rye After Two-Year Hiatus
Holland, Michigan-based Coppercraft Distillery re-released a straight rye whiskey at a launch party Tuesday night. The new limited-edition recipe will be available at retailers, bars and restaurants throughout Michigan. (Grand Rapids Business Journal) 
New Riff Releases Bottles of Bourbon in Gift Shop Ahead of Launch
New Riff Distilling has announced a release date for its first batch of bourbon: Fall 2018. But before the spirit is officially in stores, you can get your hands on a bottle at the Distillery Gift Shop starting at noon on Aug. 1. Limit one per person. Suggested retail is $39.99 for 750 ml. Southern Tier Distilling Launches Cocktails in Cans
This month, the distilling arm of one of New York's most prominent breweries is launching three new cocktail-in-can flavors. Southern Tier Distilling is releasing Gin & Tonic (8 percent alcohol) Bourbon Smash (10 percent) and Vodka Madras (8 percent). (New York Upstate)
Brooklyn-based Heights Distilling Unveils Pair of New Gins
Heights Distilling unveiled its latest innovations July 17 at the NY Distilled Grand Tasting, allowing attendees to sample the exciting new brands Dry Dock Gin and Jerold’s Gin. (BevNet)
